Bill has been training dogs with professional dog training companies for the past several years. He came on as Lead Trainer and Operations Manager with Obedient K9 in March of 2007. Bill is a proficient remote collar trainer and currently holds a Pet First Aid & CPR certification and AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Evaluator's certification. Bill is very helpful to clients with one on one problem solving. At lessons, you will see Bill paying close attention to the clients and their dogs as they do the various exercises and will be quick to help someone who may be having a little problem working with their dog. Bill is also known for creating distractions in the lessons as handlers work with their dogs. You will see him climb on to a place board with a dog or be walking around with a squeaky toy at the same time, making sure the handlers make the dogs pay attention to them and not Bill. Before and after lessons, you will find Bill either working on something at the training facility or working with his dogs Nicki, Shadow and Cynder.
Jennifer grew up on a large farm in Indiana and has been around animals all her life. She is a graduate of Indiana State University with a degree in Outdoor Education and a partial degree in Sports Medicine. As far as pets go, she has had just about anything and everything you can imagine. Ducks, cows, goats, cats, horses, opossum, mink, raccoon, gerbils, rats, snakes, squirrels, birds, rabbits, and I am sure I have left out a few. Jennifer came to Obedient K9 for some help with her two present dogs Cassius & Sky early in 2007. Cassius is a 3 year old Pit Bull and Sky is a Lab/Chow mix near 4 years old. Both dogs trained extremely well and we could see from the beginning that Jennifer had a strong drive towards working with dogs. Her hard work paid off and both dogs have graduated the obedience program and now represent the company. Cassius is a blood donor as well. Jennifer is a great addition to our team! Jennifer completed her Trainer's Certification in March 2008. She also holds an American Red Cross Pet CPR/First Aid instructors certification

Walt started out as a client at Obedient K9 in April 2008 with his dog Lady Golden (Goldie), a slightly out of control golden retriever puppy. Walt enjoyed attending classes several times a week. He worked hard with Goldie and she quickly learned the basics.
On December 19, 2008 Walt and his wife Hope adopted a black lab named Lilah from Obedient K9. Lilah went to her new forever home just in time for Christmas.
Goldie graduated Obedient K9’s Obedience Program on April 8, 2009. Lilah was soon to follow. She successfully graduated the program on July 18, 2009. Both dogs easily passed their Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Certification on July 11, 2009.
Walt has a love for dogs and demonstrated the dedication needed to become an outstanding dog trainer. He has shown us that he has what it takes to be a member of the Obedient K9 Dog Training Family.
Because we love them, WE train them!
