IF YOU LOVE THEM, TRAIN THEM
During times that you cannot make a training sesson or times that it is necessary for us cancel lessons due to snow, rain, ice, or temperature, please make sure you are practicing the skills that you learned in your last lesson. Practice makes perfect and the more you practice, the sooner your dog will reach the level of obedience that you are striving for. If you hit a stumbling block, remember that you are ALWAYS welcome to call the training line to discuss any problems you are having with your dog.
During your home training sessions remember the 4 P's of training: Practice, Patience, Persistence and Praise! Many times, we forget to PRAISE our dog once he/she has performed the obedience command asked of them. Praise is one of the most important ways to mark that good behavior. LOVE'M UP!
Keep your training sessions short, especially for young dogs. Remember to win any argument and ALWAYS end your training session on a positive note, always setting your dog up to succeed and add in lots of praise and love.
You can also turn play time into training time by having your dog sit or down prior to throwing his/her favorite toy or by having him/her sit or down at a distance upon retrieval of the toy. Make learning fun!
WHEN YOU LOVE THEM, YOU TRAIN THEM!
Training dogs for obedience over the last few years has been very satisfying. Many clients have come to us with dogs that were "out of control" and they were really in need of help. We were able to get them back in control after a short period of time. What they thought was a lost cause turned into a much happier, well rounded pet.
It's a nice feeling when the client says "I can't believe the difference". The "out of control" dog is usually a dog that has the need for structure in its life. We strive to help the client obtain this structure which makes both the client and the dog much happier. If you feel that you may have one of these "out of control" dogs or just understand that they all need some training, call us for a FREE demo and evaluation.
Remember, if you love them then train them. Believe us when we tell you that the love will be much stronger.
Thank you so much for visiting our site!

Our training program is suitable for all breeds, regardless of size or age and works especially well for dogs that have been through multiple training courses with very little, if any, noticeable improvement!!
Our clients are happy with the training that they have received and they want everyone to know it!
One client says "If you love your dog then train him. If you care about the caliber of training then Obedient K9 Training is recommended as the Best in South Jersey if not the whole state. Our breeder marvels at Storm's progress."
Another client says “Jim, Tilly and I are hanging out in FL until mid March. This would not have been possible without the training from Obedient K9! We are able to walk our feisty furry beastie around parks, city streets, and the little development where we are staying. She is surely not perfect (of course neither are we!) but very manageable. We are so grateful for your skill and support.”
Another client says "It is refreshing, to have knowledgeable people around you, that are truly interested in the success of their Program and Training Philosophy, more so than the financial remunerations, and have a positive and upbeat demeanor, with success being a “given,” not a “possible!”

Sierra-forever in our hearts
Simply the BEST at what we do!
Who we were: a group of dog loving people, first meeting as training clients with out of control dogs
Who we are: Certified dog trainers with years of experience working with dogs of all sizes, breeds and behavior problems.
What we do: work with people and their dogs to develop a bond that goes beyond anything ever experienced before. Over the years, we have found that MANY behavior issues can be corrected or controlled through obedience training.
What we believe: every dog deserves a loving home, a home that lets a dog be everything that it can be. This is achieved through consistent training with lots of praise.
